Tampa sits East of Clearwater and surrounds Tampa Bay. It was founded as a military center during the 19th century with the establishment of Fort Brooke. MacDill airforce base is located na=earby and houses the county’s Strategic Air Command.The cigar industry was also brought to the city by Vincente Martinez Ybor, after whom Ybor City is named. Tampa was reincorporated as a city in 1887 following the Civil War. Tampa’s economy is driven by tourism, health care, finance, insurance, technology, construction, and the maritime industry. The bay’s port is the largest in the state, responsible for over $15 billion in economic impact. Known for its sports teams the Bucs, Rays, Lightening and Rowdies and a significant tourist attractions such as Busch Gardens, the Hard Rock hotel, Lowry Zoo, Big Cat Rescue and the Riverwalk, Tampa has a bustling city with upscale urban residentials developments. Located hereby is MacDill AFB. MacDill is home to the United States Central Command and United States Special Operations Command

Davis Islands is a Tampa neighborhood and archipelago on two (formerly three) islands. Its proximity to Downtown Tampa and its views of the Port of Tampa have made it a popular area to live. Replete with enormous homes, it is considered the island of the rich, the famous and the well-to-do.
