Meet the Owners of Sand Key Realty
Jens Cavallius Broker/Owner
Jens spent his early years in academic sciences. After he was awarded his Ph.D in biochemistry at Aarhus University in Aarhus, Denmark (his native country), Jens worked and managed research labs all over the world researching the science of aging. His research led him to the U.S. to Case Western University in Cleveland, OH where his career continued in bio-ethics, biotechnology (famous for inventing cystalography – it’s complicated but you can look it up!) and genetics. Eventually, he taught bioethics courses in addition to supervising post-docs and graduate students.
How does one go from a biotechnology lab to real estate one might ask…? Well, upon his science retirement, Jens moved to sunny Florida where he fixed and flipped houses, and that lead him to a career in Real Estate where he currently serves as Broker/Owner of Sand Key Realty.
In Jen’s spare time he focuses on animal rights causes, house flipping and travel to far-away places.
Brian Pelfrey Agent/Owner
Brian began his work career as a floral designer and proprietor of The Uppity Nook flower shop in Columbus, OH where his clients included names like Les Wexnor of Victoria’s Secret and The Limited, The West Palm Beach elite and numerous movers and shakers in the business and industry.
Upon his move to Florida, Brian took the leap into the mortgage market where he was consistently named as a top producer for his clients. Client service and Real Estate led him to get his RE license in 2010. His astonishing success then led him to buy Sand Key Realty, with his partner, Jens, which is where he is today. He is the top agent on Sand Key, is past-president and president elect of the Sand Key Civic Association, and in his spare time he studies the real estate market to hone his craft, flips a house or two and can be found browsing antique shops for a truly unique find for his clients.
